       王琦（1884——1937）号碧珍，别号陶迷道人，斋名陶陶斋，江西新建县人。十七岁时来到景德镇，以捏面人为生，后学画瓷板像。由于他的画造型能力强，又以钱慧安仕女画为蓝本，所画肖像画很受欢迎。1916年他在上海看到许多名家原作，又对黄慎人物画倾慕，开始改变画风在瓷器上专作意笔人物及草书长题，从此很少再画肖像画。1922年瓷业美术社成立，王琦与汪晓棠一道被推为副社长，为“珠山八友”之一。

Wang Qi （1884-1937） known as Bizhen, was also called Tao Fan Taoist, named Tao Tao Zhai, and was born in Xinjian County, Jiangxi Province. He came to Jingdezhen when he was seventeen years old and made a living by kneading people. Later, he learned to paint porcelain figures. Because of his strong modeling ability, and based on Qian Huian's paintings of beautiful women, his portraits are very popular. In 1916, he saw many original works of famous artists in Shanghai, and admired Huang Shen's figure paintings. He began to change his painting style to paint freehand characters and long cursive inscriptions on porcelain. Since then, he rarely painted portraits. In 1922, the Porcelain Art Society was established. Wang Qi, together with Wang Xiaotang, was promoted as the vice president and one of the "Eight Friends of Mount Zhushan".
